| Dhemaji M.V. School |
In the first September 2019, Neel visited his father's house in Dhemaji. Dhemaji is situated in the northeasternmost corner of Assam. The place is situated in the north bank of the river Brahmaputra and one of the beautiful place in North East India. The entire geographical areas of Dhemaji is crisscrossed by several rivers so flood is a perennial problem in this area. Besides, Dhemaji has many pre-medieval and medieval period historical sites. Malinithan, Habong, Botikur, Maskhowa, Narowathan, Nagakhelia, Chowkham, Silapathar etc are some examples.

During colonial period Dhemaji is part of greater North Lakhimpur District with headquarter at Dibrugarh. Due to natural location, Dhemaji seems to be a remote location since past. Previously, educated people from the South Bank visited this place for promotion of education, business, etc.
Neels, Great Great Grand Father(Pandit) Baneswar Das was visited Dhemaji to enlighten much on knowledge in remote Dhemaji in the last decade of 19th Century. He was one of the pioneer teachers to promote education as percher in the Dhemaji District. He established Dhemaji M. V School at Gohain Gaon in the year 1915. Thereafter his middle son Pandit Sushil Dutta and Neel's Great Grandpa was continuing as a teacher till the sixtieth decade of last century. Following his death, Neel's Grand Pa Nirmal Dutta was showing as an assistant teacher and later on Head Master till the year 2000. Unfortunately, all three Grandpa died but their knowledge building Dhemaji M.V. School is still enlightened generation after generations.
During this visit, we have visited Dhemaji M.V school with his cousin brother Miko. They were enjoyed much on the open ground of the school.
In the midst of their enjoyment, I felt my forefathers memory on the front yards of School. Looking forward to more such story near future.
