Experiences from Nature

Seeing much, suffering much, and studying much, are the three pillars of learning, and pursuit of learning is the beauty of life. If someone ceases learning he seems to be equal to death.

Life is precious so every moment should be enjoyed with learning new thoughts and knowledge. According to Earl Nightingale, "Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether its at work or with your family. every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

Life in the conservation field is not monotonous. Once I was in Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Assam to assess field situations day tonight. During the course of my work, I interviewed a few forest guards who are well-educated and spent inside the forest camps to protect the Greater one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife. Then one forest guard replied that they never felt bored deep inside the forest as the forest is very lively and every moment they find new scopes of learning. If a forest ranger ideally sat his antipoaching camp the vibrant surroundings would keep him alive and happy with full of vigor. This explanation helped me to analyze the other side of life inside the forest.

When I have started my wildlife carrier I struggled to relate my passion with reality. I worried how could I adapt inside the forest year after year without urban amenities.  But gradually things became normal and I could differentiate dynamism inside the forest and human habitations.

I believe human sense organs may revitalize if he spent couple of hours inside the forest. In every walk, he or she may find more than he seeks. Sometimes I close my eyes and imagine an absolute breathtaking feeling of nature in my heart. I observed how nature changes its own curtain of colors in relation to the fall of the season. I believe in nature everything is perfect so everyone should feel this perfection for self-realization.

I do believe nature is not a place to visit it is a home. So a person who is able to love nature truly or may find beauty everywhere. Finally, study nature, love nature, and do stay close to nature so that you can succeed every walk of your life.

Bedtime stories Part-II

Having bedtime stories is part of both father and son's daily routine. I have told him hundreds of stories that relate to our culture, religion, geography, ancient age, medieval period freedom movement, film and music, science, and technology. I have many favorite stories, including Akbar and Birbal, Sri Krishna's childhood, Assamese Burhi Ai Xadhu, etc. Several times, I repeated the same stories. I also learned the essence of stories by doing some homework. YouTube is the most common platform for learning stories, and 80% of them come from that platform. The rest are from story books and anecdotes. The last couple of years, we have practiced bedtime rituals. I also message his legs and head during storytelling time. While traveling, I continue to maintain this ritual over the phone. Without listening to stories, his eyes would not close. It's a wonderful experience as a father. In addition to developing his brain rapidly, he became emotionally mature after eight and half y...
